Prioritizing healthy behaviors that nurture wellbeing to sustain your journey

Caroline Zagel

MSC Counselling Psychology and Masters in NLP

I am Caroline Zagel, a Counselling Therapist, NLP and Life Coach.  I am originally born in South Africa and spent the bulk of my career as an expatriate in Ghana, West Africa.  I now reside and practice on the beautiful Sunshine Coast in Queensland, Australia under the Australian Counselling Association.

I am passionate about making a difference in other people’s lives and my eclectic approach in therapy is very client centered as I tailor my approach to individual needs. Most of my career has been in a clinical setting providing counselling therapy for 15 years to as many as 46 different nationalities and cultures.  I have worked with individuals, couples, children and families as well as small teams in corporate settings.

I started my adult life qualifying as a nurse, going on to becoming a high school teacher before continuing my  to mental health and wellness in general.  My teaching background has provided me a good platform to launch the many teaching and awareness webinars on mental health and wellness, which I create and deliver in the corporate and school setting.  This type of work became a focal point for me during the three years of the COVID Pandemic.

Supporting adjustment issues for families and individuals, working with expatriates to foreign countries and providing remote site workers with coping skills, is an area of work I am very familiar with.  Working alongside an assistance company for years I have also provided a lot of crisis intervention work and remain on call for clients to support in this area.

More recently, I have adapted some of the tool and strategies I work with into children’s stories which I am publishing.  You will soon find them available through my website.  I hope these stories become powerful tools not only for young audiences they are designed for, but also for any adults who read them to children.  I hope my stories help equip the next generation with courage, positivity and life skills which promote resilience and strength to support tackling an ever challenging world.

Alongside my career I am also a wife and mother of three beautiful children. I am a nature lover and great advocate for human rights and for animals in need.
